Catherine Ford is a British actress, born in Bloomsbury. When her father's departure from the family members, she was grew to maturity by her mother, godparents, and grandmother. When she was a young girl, Ford suffered anxiety due to an obsessional-compulsive condition. Ford started acting in her teen years and joined an actor in the National Youth Theatre. She was accepted to the Sylvia Young Theatre School. However, after only a month, she decided that it wasn't the right fit for her. Ford decided to apply to Central School of Speech and Drama and securing a place on her third attempt, applied and won an admission to the Central School of Speech and Drama. Shaun Dingwall - who later appeared as Pete Tyler in Doctor Who was among her classmates. Ford was able to graduate in 1993. She already made a TV appearance in a 1992 episode of Surgical Spirit. She adopted the stage name Catherine Tate. Tate appeared on TV in the Nineties through shows like The Bill and Men Behaving Badly. Alongside her usual stage work, Tate was a part of the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2000-2001. Tate was first noticed because of her stand-up comedic performances in 1996.
