Liza Snyder
Snyder was raised in Northampton, Massachusetts. The father of her is Associate Professor of Theatre as well as music at Smith College. Her maternal grandparents were a five-time Academy Award-winning composer, Johnny Green, and the actress and consumer reporter, Betty Furness. Snyder learned to act at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, New York City. She was coached by Sanford Meisner. Snyder's career began with episodes of dramas on TV, such as The Trials of Rosie O'Neill, and Murder, She Wrote. In 1993, she was offered the leading role of Molly Whelan in the ABC and then syndicated crime drama Sirens. Following the cancellation of Sirens it was her turn to star in two films on TV and also guest-starred on Chicago Hope and Pacific Blue. From 1998 until 2000, she was regular participant in the NBC sitcom Jesse with Christina Applegate. Snyder made her screen debut with a minor character in the film Pay It Forward which was directed by Mimi Leder. At the same time, Snyder began to star in the role of Christine Hughes in CBS's sitcom Yes, Dear. In 2006, the series came to an end. Snyder was on hiatus of five years after Yes, Dear. In 2011, Snyder came back on the screen, this time in a guest staring role in the role of a patient with a lung transplant on House. In a Raising Hope episode from 2013 in which she reprised her Yes, Dear character.
